Compliance and Records Management Officer (including Data Protection and Freedom of Information)

The National Cancer Registry currently has a vacancy for a permanent full-time Compliance & Records Management Officer. The primary function of this post is to ensure compliance obligations are met in relation to data protection, freedom of information, access to information on the environment and health and safety. The post also carries responsibility for records management and complaints processes and procedures.

The successful candidate must have a relevant professional/third level qualification or be qualified by experience. A qualification in data protection and certified membership of the Association of Data Protection Officers is essential. A qualification in records management together with substantial records management experience and familiarity with electronic document management systems is desirable. A good working knowledge and understanding of the data protection and freedom of information processes is highly desirable

This post will be based at the National Cancer Registry in Cork. Salary will be in accordance with Department of Health grade VII salary scale: €48,495 - €63,041.
