WHO/IARC World Cancer Report 2014 press briefing

In the run-up to World Cancer Day 2014, IARC is holding a press briefing

In the run-up to World Cancer Day 2014, the specialized cancer agency of the World Health Organization, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), is holding a press briefing to launch its latest World Cancer Report. The briefing will provide key perspectives into the causes of cancer and the development of cancer research over the past five years. Experts will present a comprehensive analysis of the latest trends in cancer incidence, mortality, and prevalence.

WHY: World Cancer Report 2014 reveals that treatment alone cannot win the battle against cancer. The report highlights striking cancer trends and shows that key priorities should be given to cancer prevention and control measures.

WHEN: Monday, 3 February 2014, at 11:00 London time (CET -1).

WHERE: At the Royal Society,
Library Events Room,
6–9 Carlton House Terrace,
