World Ovarian Cancer Day

The National Cancer Registry has released a new infographic for World Ovarian Cancer Day.

To do our part for World Ovarian Cancer Day, we have put together some facts about ovarian cancer in Ireland. Today (May 8th) is World Ovarian Cancer Day, with the aim of having ovarian cancer organisations across the globe raising awareness of ovarian cancer and its symptoms. In Ireland, ovarian cancer is the 6th most common cancer diagnosed, and the 4th most common cause of cancer death. The information in the infographic comes from our ovarian cancer factsheet, trends report and cancer atlas, which provide more detailed information about ovarian cancer in Ireland. For more information about World Ovarian Cancer Day, please see www.ovariancancerday.org.
