4th All-Ireland Cancer Conference

The National Cancer Registry, Ireland in conjunction with the Ireland-Northern Ireland-National Cancer Institute Consortium will co-host the 4th All Ireland Cancer Conference in Dublin starting on November 30th. This multidisciplinary conference will discuss the latest developments in cancer care and research from around the globe. 

The event will start at 7.15 pm on Sunday 30th November with a film screening in the Junior Ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel. This 1 hour screening will show films that that are thought provoking, inspirational, educational and honour those who have experienced cancer. Cancer survivor and film director Lori Benson will make a guest appearance at the Dublin screening. She will talk about her own experience of cancer and why she made the film Dear Talulawww.deartalula.com The film is an intimate portrait of a woman whose courage, candor and humour make her captivating to watch on screen. 

Since its 2007 premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, the film has been screened at various festivals around the world. It was short listed for an Oscar in 2007 and continues to inspire a unique emotional response. Filmmaker Lori Benson is a passionate advocate for breast cancer awareness and continues to share her experience, her knowledge and her compassion with audiences throughout the world at lectures, seminars, conferences and fundraisers.
