About us

The National Cancer Registry is a publicly appointed body, established in 1991, to collect and classify information on all cancer cases which occur in Ireland.

Our activities include:

  1. Collecting information on all new cases in Ireland
  2. Monitoring trends and outcomes in different cancer types
  3. Promoting the use of the information we collect in research and in the planning and management of services
  4. Publishing an annual report on cancer statistics.
