The Health Promotion Research Centre at the National University of Ireland, Galway, is seeking a full-time fixed term post-doctoral health service research fellow to work on the ICE Survivorship project.
The research fellow will join an interdisciplinary and inter-institutional research project in cancer survivorship. The project investigates the impact of rural residence on cancer outcomes, combining epidemiological and sociological perspectives. Qualitative methods will be used to explore whether urban and rural survivors have different cancer-related expectations, attitudes, beliefs, behaviours and experiences.
The collaboration – between the National Cancer Registry (NCR), Dublin City University (DCU) and NUI Galway (NUIG) – is committed to the conduct of high-quality research into key emerging topics in cancer survivorship, and the appointment includes a strong focus on training and professional and personal development.
