The registry performance indicators, comparing the performance of the National Cancer Registry with four registries in the United Kingdom, have been released and are available on our website.
The updated registry performance indicators can be found here (Excel version here). They contain data reports up to recent years and a summary report of the findings can be downloaded at this link.
These indicators look at the following five registries of the United Kingdom and Ireland Association of Cancer Registries:
- National Cancer Registry Ireland
- Northern Ireland Cancer Registry
- Public Health England
- Scottish Cancer Registry
- Welsh Cancer Intelligence & Surveillance Unit
The performance indicators compare registry performance in the following areas:
- Timeliness of registration
- Variation of data
- Completion of data
- Trends of completion
- Trends in death certificate only and microscopically verified cases
- Trends in incidence-mortality ratios
More information about performance indicators, and historical reports, can be found on the UKIACR website.
