Theresa is an epidemiologist and health services researcher particularly focusing on applied health research, implementation and evaluation. She started her career in the University of the Philippines-Manila, working as a Research Assistant on a WHO project evaluating the National Tuberculosis Control Program. She completed her MSc in Epidemiology, completing her thesis on cervical cancer survival with the Manila Cancer Registry. Following this, she worked in academia, NGO and industry. Theresa completed her doctorate at the University of Heidelberg and the German Cancer Research Centre in 2010. Prior to joining the NCRI, Theresa was based in the University of Bristol for 14 years, working on various topics including cancer epidemiology, applied data science, primary care and mental health research.
