The National Cancer Registry currently makes a large volume of information available to the public in relation to its functions and activities. This includes epidemiological data and a list of publications available to download. Such information will continue to be available informally without the need to use the Freedom of Information (FoI) Act.
Section 8 of the Freedom of Information Act 2014 requires FoI Bodies to prepare and publish a scheme concerning the publication or giving of information outside of FoI provided that the provision or publication of such information is not prohibited by law.
