The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly TD has appointed the following new member to the board of the National Cancer Registry Ireland:
Cathy Enright is the Programme Manager for the Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute (TSJCI). She is a science graduate and holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Management from The Institute of Public Administration and a Diploma in Leadership and Quality in Healthcare from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Cathy joined St James’s Hospital in 2005 having worked in the clinical research organisations and the pharmaceutical industry previously. Over the years, Cathy has demonstrated her leadership and project management skills in all her roles and has a proven track record of project delivery. A key focus of her role in the TSJCI is using data to inform service delivery and support research and audit to enable better outcomes for patients with cancer.
Speaking on the appointment, Prof Deirdre Murray, Director said "We are very pleased to welcome Cathy to the NCRI Board. We anticipate that her skills and experience especially in clinical research will be a great asset to the NCRI and we look forward to working with Cathy as the NCRI launches and implements its new three-year strategy".
