The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly TD has appointed the following new member to the board of the National Cancer Registry Ireland:
Ms Ellen Farrell was appointed to the Board of the National Cancer Registry Ireland in May 2022. She holds a degree in Accounting & Finance, a Masters degree (MBA), a Diploma in Company Direction with the Institute of Directors and a postgraduate Diploma in Strategy & Innovation. Ellen holds a Licentiate membership with the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland. She has over 20 years of international Financial Services experience, with a proven record of delivering organisational transformation and regulatory change. She previously held an appointment in an Irish State Body (ReBo) providing strategic, risk management and governance advice to financial companies in Ireland. Currently, Ellen is an Associate Director in Fidelity International’s Global Investment Compliance division.
Speaking on the appointment, Prof Deirdre Murray, Director said "We are very pleased to welcome Ellen to the NCRI Board. We anticipate that her skills and experience will be a great asset to the NCRI and we look forward to working with Ellen as the NCRI continues to grow and develop".
