Cancer in Ireland 1994-2005

This annual statistical report shows that 26,776 new cancers were registered in 2005, 21% more than the 1994-2005 average. The commonest cancer overall (apart from non-melanoma skin cancer; 6,196 cases) was cancer of the prostate (2,407 cases), followed by breast cancer (2,379 cases) and colorectal cancer (2,184 cases).
