This report provides an overview of cancers of the colon and rectum in Ireland between 2005 and 2009. An annual average of 1,445 colon cancers (45% in females and 55% in males), 166 rectosigmoid cancers (38% in females and 62% in males) and 606 rectal cancers (34% in females and 66% in males) was registered.
