Ms Fiona Dwane

Head of Data Integration

Fiona Dwane is the Head of Data Integration at the National Cancer Registry Ireland (NCRI), where she leads the Data Integration team. Her responsibilities include acquiring and processing electronic data from hospitals and external agencies, linking screening datasets, ensuring quality assurance of Individual Health Identifier (IHI) seeding, and geocoding primary addresses.

Fiona holds a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies from University College Cork (UCC), as well as a Higher Diploma in Computer Science and a Diploma in Geographical Information Systems. She has extensive expertise in data standardisation, record linkage, and the management of electronic health data, with in-depth knowledge of cancer and health coding systems.

As a member of NCRI’s Senior Management Team, Fiona also serves as the business lead on key national projects, including the implementation of the Individual Health Identifier and MedLIS.
