NCRI Publishes First Gender Pay Gap Report
Positive Results Highlight Commitment to Equality
The National Cancer Registry Ireland (NCRI) is proud to announce the publication of its first-ever Gender Pay Gap Report, covering the period July 2024 to June 2025. This milestone reflects our commitment to transparency, equality, and fostering an inclusive workplace where talent thrives regardless of gender.
Headline Results
- Mean Gender Pay Gap: -5.56% (in favour of women)
- Median Gender Pay Gap: 0.23% (near parity)
- Women well represented across all pay quartiles, including senior roles
These figures demonstrate that NCRI not only meets its obligations under the Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021 but also exceeds expectations, achieving near pay parity and strong female representation at leadership levels.
Why This Matters
Our results highlight the success of proactive measures such as:
- Transparent pay structures and regular audits
- Flexible and blended working policies
- Career development initiatives supporting progression
- A strong organisational culture of equality and inclusion
NCRI has consistently been recognised as a great place to work, holding Best Places to Work status for three consecutive years and earning the IBEC KeepWell Mark for employee wellbeing.
Looking Ahead
While these results are encouraging, we remain committed to continuous improvement. Representation in the lowest pay quartile is an area we aim to strengthen, ensuring fairness and opportunity for all employees.
This report sets a baseline for future progress and reinforces our belief that equality is not just a goal - it is a core value shaping our culture and future.
